Not too long ago I went online and started to look for the best online survey sites so I could start making some extra cash to pay my phone bill.
Doing surveys obviously didn’t let me quit my job the next day (I wish), but I was able to make a few bucks during the week that really helped to cover some of my smaller costs.
The side income I earned proved to me that there were probably a lot more ways to make money online than I was aware of and I had no problem filling out surveys while I was watching TV or relaxing at the end of a long work day.
Even though I would only earn about $7 to $10 per hour, it was still something worth doing when I was bored and looking for things to do to occupy my time.
It was also much better for me than getting a part-time job because I could still be at home to take care of the kids or get some chores done without having to set aside a huge part of my day to work.
In this post, I put together a list of my favorite online survey sites for you guys to check out for yourself.
I recommend signing up for all of them at once, or at least rather quickly, because this will open you up to the most amount of surveys you can do and you should have a steady stream of options.
If you just sign up for one or two you might find that there aren’t as many surveys that you can do and you could be waiting days for some more to come up.
Basically, if you want to make some decent side-cash then you should join as many of them as you’re comfortable with doing.
Alright, with all that intro stuff out of the way, let’s take a look at the sites!
The Best Online Surveys for Cash
One of my favorite online survey sites for making some extra money is Swagbucks.
With them it’s possible to make money in more ways than just filling out forms all the time so it really helps when it comes to diversifying what I’m doing during the night.
I also love them because sometimes they hand out free points for no reason, and you earn a little bit extra just for being part of their team!
One more thing – You’ll get a $5 bonus just for signing up (sign up here)!
To redeem your SwagBucks, as they’re called, you can get the cash you earned sent to you on PayPal, or you can choose to receive it through a gift card from a major retailer, one of which is Amazon.
- Visit SwagBucks to sign up and start earning.
American Consumer Opinion
American Consumer Opinion is another popular free online survey company and you get paid for each of the surveys that you fill out and complete.

Inbox Dollars is a great site where you can fill out some surveys for cash and also participate in a few other things to earn extra money.
You can earn by playing games, signing up for trial offers, referring your friends to the platform, and through a few other methods as well.
To earn the most you’ll want to register and fill out as many surveys as you can and the more you fill out the better quality questionnaires you’ll be sent.
Depending on how much time you spend you could definitely earn a few $100 during the year.
- Make sure to sign up for Inbox Dollars to get started – signing up through this link will also get you a $5 bonus!
I love the name of this one, don’t you?
Pinecone Research is one of the best survey sites to make money from, in my opinion.
It’s really straightforward – you just sign up and start to complete as many surveys as you have available for you.
You earn points once you complete each one and you can redeem these points for prizes and cash, depending on your preferences.
I’ve used them quite a few times since I got started trying to make money online and they have paid out each time, so they’re very reliable and legitimate.

I really like Valued Opinions because it’s easy to sign up with them, you can just use your Facebook account, and they are one of the highest paying survey sites that I have come across.
Many of the surveys start at around $1.50 and some companies you can pay up to $5 for filling out their form.
The website is very easy to navigate through and after signing up and filling out of your personal information, you’ll be able to see all of the different surveys that you’re qualified to fill out for money.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to redeem the money you earn for cash, but you can use it to get a Visa gift cards or gift cards for other larger companies like Amazon and Macy’s, so it still definitely helps.
- Feel free to head over Valued Opinions and sign up to get started.

Ipsos Panel (known as i-Say) is quite popular and you actually might recognize the name as this is the company that does political polling when there’s elections going on in the US.
They are for some pretty good surveys that you can choose from, some of which you can even earn nearly $100 from if you get lucky enough to find it.
However, most of the surveys pay just a few dollars and they don’t take very long to complete.
